Service Description

Wild Wonders School Mentorship Programs Wild Wonders for Schools offers hands-on, nature-based learning experiences that inspire curiosity, connection, and outdoor discovery. Each program blends plant education, sensory exploration, and storytelling to help children build meaningful relationships with the living world around them — from backyard “wild medicines” to edible plants and creative nature play. All workshops are adaptable by age group and learning level, making them suitable for a wide range of students. Programs can be customized to match your curriculum focus, seasonal themes, or group needs. Facilitated by a certified Clinical Herbalist and forager, Natural Garden Grows brings real-world plant knowledge into an engaging, experiential format that supports environmental awareness and embodied learning. 🌼 1. Wild Backyard Scavenger Hunt Students become nature detectives as they search for common edible and medicinal plants such as plantain, dandelion, chickweed, and sorrel. Along the way they learn plant identification basics, simple foraging safety, and the “superpowers” of everyday weeds. Highlights include sensory exploration, magnifying glass missions, and a fun “field first aid” demonstration using safe plants. 🥗 2. Wild Salad Bar: From Field to Feast A playful farm-to-table experience where students forage safe edible plants, build their own salads, and create custom “potion” dressings. This workshop encourages adventurous tasting, nutrition awareness, and hands-on food learning. 🍯 3. Floral Elixirs & Wild Syrups Using seasonal herbs, flowers, and berries, students learn how to make simple syrups and oxymels (vinegar-honey infusions) for refreshing drinks and plant-based tonics. Includes tasting and take-home recipe cards. 🌻 4. We Are Like Plants Using Natural Garden Grows’ “We Are Like Plants” flashcards, students explore how humans and plants share similar qualities — roots for stability, sunlight for growth, and flexibility for resilience. Includes storytelling, movement, and a guided nature walk. 💚 Pricing & Booking • Workshops start at $150 per session • Programs may be hosted at your school, community site, or as a field trip to the Natural Garden Grows Homestead • Supplies are included unless otherwise noted (a short materials list will be provided if needed) To book or inquire about custom programming: 📧 gardengrowsts@gmail.com or use our online booking system
